apoprojekt stands for sustainable entrepreneurship

Not only we, but the entire construction and real estate industry faces the challenge of massively reducing its CO2 emissions if we want to achieve the 1.5 degree target of the Paris Climate Agreement. We are aware of our responsibility to future generations and want to set a good example with our own sustainability strategy. Our primary goal is to reduce CO2 emissions along the entire value chain of our companies. To achieve this, we must minimize climate-relevant emissions not only in our own divisions, but above all on our construction sites.

By 2030, a fifth of the German office market stock will no longer meet the European ESG guidelines. The ecological transformation of existing buildings is therefore one of the greatest levers for achieving the climate target.

We specialize in this with our Design & Build approach. Sustainability aspects are already incorporated into our planning: We use a specially developed tool to record the CO2 emissions of various materials in the interior fit-out and use sustainable or recyclable materials wherever possible. This not only enables us to ensure resource-conserving construction and energy-efficient operation, but also to reduce CO2 emissions in interior fit-out by up to 50%.

As part of our ESG solutions in particular, we place a special focus on the energy-efficient refurbishment of buildings, the use of renewable energies and a construction method that protects the environment and conserves resources. In refurbishment and revitalization projects, we pay attention to the circular transformation of buildings by building for longevity and taking recyclability at the end of life into account in the planning.

We are in constant dialog with suppliers and subcontractors along the entire value chain in order to reduce CO2 emissions as much as possible. Subcontractors who meet our sustainability requirements are given preference. The aim of our construction logistics is to optimize the delivery of building materials and supplies while taking environmental aspects into account and reducing packaging waste on the construction site.
